POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man exposed himself to a teenage girl in West Somerset.

The incident happened on Wednesday, August 23, as the girl was walking across Grove Copse, between Williton and Watchet some time between 2 pm and 2.30pm.

After exposing himself, the man then started touching himself inappropriately in front of the girl.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said the suspect was a man described as being in his early 20s.

The man was approximately 5 ft 7 ins tall and of large build.

He was described as having short, brown hair and was wearing a black and red tie-dye T-shirt, with black jogging bottoms.

The spokesperson said: “If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious, or have any information which could aid our investigation, please call 101 and quote reference 5223204936.”
