Police have issued an appeal to the public for help to find a missing teenager.

The 16-year-old, named as Georgia, was last seen in the Taunton area last Tuesday.

The force issued a photograph of the missing teenager on Sunday night.

She is described as a white female, 5ft 2in tall, with light brown curly hair. What she was wearing is not known, but she is understood to often wear a black jumpsuit.

A spokesperson said: "Have you seen missing 16-year-old Georgia?

"She was last seen in Taunton on Tuesday 2 February and has links to Chard and Exeter.

"Georgia, please call us to let us know you're safe and where you are.

"Any members of the public who see her should please call 999 ref 5223026662."

People commenting on the force's Facebook page urged her to get in touch.

One said: "Really hope she's found safe and well. Georgia if you're reading these comments please let someone know you're safe. Your family and friends must be worried sick xx".

Another added: "Hope you are somewhere warm and safe Georgia, just let your parents know or even just the police xxx".
