SOMERSET Council is proposing the permanent closure of the B3191 at Cleeve Hill, Watchet, unless objections are received in writing within 21 days from May 23.

PRE-surface dressing patching works by Kiely Bros on behalf of Somerset Highways in Woodford Road and Combe Sydenham Road, Monksilver, will see the roads closed daily between 7 am and 7 pm from June 16 to 20.

GULLY replacement works by Kier on behalf of Somerset Highways will result in Sanctuary Lane, Brompton Regis, being closed between 8 am and 5 pm on June 19.

DRAINAGE works by Kier on behalf of Somerset Highways will see the closure of Dunkery Hill Road, Cutcombe, from June 16 to 20.

DAILY closures between 7 am and 7 pm have been approved for the Combe Sydenham to Elworthy and Elworthy to Elworthy Cross roads, in Elworthy and Stogumber parishes while pre-surface dressing patching works are carried out by Kiely Bros on behalf of Somerset Highways from June 16 to 20.

HARWOOD Lane, Timberscombe, will be closed daily between 7 am and 7 pm from June 3 to 10 while Kiely Bros carries out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways.

SJS Southwest is to change decayed poles on behalf of National Grid in a phased programme which will see daily closures between 8 am and 4 pm of Ranscombe Road, Church to Brockwell Lane, New Road, Fairgarden Road, and Brockwell Lane, in Wootton Courtenay, for 58 days from June 5 to August 1.

REINSTATEMENT works by Wessex Water in Shurton Road, Stogursey, means the road will be closed from 9 am to 5 pm on June 9.

A 30 mph speed limit will be in place on the A358 at Flaxpool Hill, Crowcombe, between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm on June 11 to allow Airband Community Internet safe access to manholes and cabling.
