WATCHET Live tried its first ’Pie and a Pint’ evening on Friday, February 5, and raised over £500 towards this year’s carnival day.
People tucked into home made steak and ale, chicken and leek and vegetarian pies, all served with mash and peas or carrots, in the Phoenix Centre. A drink and a dessert were included in the price.
Entertainment was provided by BP Sounds and David Milton and, with the audience participating in a friendly sing-along contest, a great night was had by all.
The organisers would like to thank Ben Prescott and David Milton for giving their time in addition to everyone who helped on the night or went along and donated generously.
Tickets are now also available for the popular Pudding Night in the RBL Club on Saturday April 9. For details, contact Sandie Hornby on 01984 632783.
