A PICTURE of a house with a rainbow by local artist Garry Floyd has been given to Minehead Community Hospital by staff member Tanya Purkis,
Garry’s piece of artwork, entitled ‘Home’.
Garry has been selling a range of artworks created for lockdown on his website. A percentage of the profits will be going towards helping the NHS during the Covid-19 crisis.
Entitled ’Home’, the picture given to the hospital will be displayed on Exmoor ward where staff and patients will see it as a reminder that this difficult time will end.
The black and white in the picture represents these dark times while the colourful rainbow looks to brighter times ahead.
“We feel the picture demonstrates how we are all working hard to keep our community safe and healthy, but we are one family and have faith and hope in these uncertain times,” said clerical officer Natalie Woodward.
“Many thanks goes to our amazing community who are still supporting us through these times.”
