PET pooches put their best paws forward for a fundraising family fun dog show at Culvercliffe in Minehead on Sunday.

The event was well supported with more than 160 dogs entered into the various classes, including ones for the waggiest tail and the six loveliest legs.

There was also a demonstration of dog agility (pictured) by Julie Dare of the Exmoor Dog Training Club, who encouraged competitors to put their own pets through their paces over the course.

All the money raised was donated to the Brooke Hospital for Animals, a charity that provides free veterinary treatment for animals in poorer parts of the world.

Members of the charity's Exmoor group fundraising branch thanked all the owners and their canine companions for supporting the event, John Gage from Glenmore Road Veterinary Clinic for judging the competition and Alcombe Pet Foods for donating prizes.
