SIR — Which is the odd one out — a couple of amusement arcades, a static trailer selling ice cream, a seaside gift shop, a seafood stall or a couple of fast food outlets?
Give up? Well so do I, but apparently the local councillors and planners think that the seafood stall should not be allowed to trade on the seafront at Minehead.
Supposedly it will be out of keeping with the area!
Surely a stall selling seafood, operated and staffed by a local person, has as much right to be sited in a "conservation area" as any of the others. In fact, I can't think of anything more appropriate.
