With their children on their backs or toddling beside them, the dads made their way across beaches, steep hills and moorland on the walk held in memory of Robert “Scuddy” Southey.
It was a gruelling trek – but smiles and ice creams all round when they achieved their goal.
Home-Start West Somerset manager Clare Pound said: “It was such a wonderful event, and great to see all the dads and their children enjoying themselves whilst raising an incredible amount of money.

“Like many charities, we lost a lot of different fund-raising opportunities and had funding bids shelved due to Covid-19. During lockdown, Home Start West Somerset played a crucial role supporting many families and saw their workload increase by 160 per cent, so this fund-raising event came at just the right time.
The dads were: Dave Harris, Jake Pound, Matt Knowles, Chris Carr, Lee Hardick, Ben Allerton, Dominic Healey, Remi Ackland, Michael Bohun, Daniel Richardson, Matt Wheeler and Daniel Freeman.
