CONCERNS raised about Minehead Hospital, the GP out-of-hours services and related health issues will be discussed at the Minehead Area Panel at St Michael's Church, Alcombe.

Representatives from the NHS with responsibility for Minor Injury Units, Urgent Care Services and the South Western Ambulance Service will be attending the meeting at 6pm on Wednesday, September 12.

The speakers have come in response to an invitation issued a year ago by the panel in order to hear and answer questions and comments from the public about these services.

The meeting is open to all residents of Minehead and Alcombe and questions need to be submitted in advance by Tuesday, September 4.

It is an opportunity for anyone who has concerns to make their voice heard - even people living outside Minehead may submit questions.

A report of the discussion will be available after the meeting.

A panel spokesman said: "This is an opportunity for everyone to participate in a face-to-face conversation with those responsible for this vitally important area of community health services - we hope as many as possible will take advantage of it."
