CORE – a new project aimed at helping young people improve their personal skills and employability – is being opened in Wiveliscombe.
It is being launched by youth and community service In The Mix Youth Project, which offers a wide range of creative opportunities for young people.
Core offers 16 to 25-year-olds an opportunity to gain skills and experience in a range of different activities and projects such as photography, film, media, outdoor activities and event planning.
Project co-ordinator Paul Black said: “This is a really great project for young adults to learn new skills and become more employable. I am excited to start working with the group on community projects and events.”
There will be an opening evening on Thursday (May 11) at 7pm at The Base Youth Centre, Wiveliscombe, that will explain Core in more detail and give people a chance to meet the team.
