SIR — Thank you to everyone who helped make our Community Market at Carhampton Recreation Centre a success last Saturday.

The committee members who helped set it up and put everything away, the stallholders and the shoppers and the people who contributed the raffle prizes and made the cakes for the refreshments.

But especially to June and Clare McDonald who made and gave out beautiful bags to replace plastic bags on their mission to stop people using plastic bags to help save our seabirds.

New stallholders are always welcome, and we have three more markets running up to Christmas.

Material for the bags or indeed more people to make the bags would be much appreciated.
