SOMERSET Sight is starting a new activity group for visually impaired West Somerset people, particularly those of working age, on Wednesday (March 14).
It will offer activities ranging from days out to rock climbing and will meet for the first time at The Beach Hotel, in The Avenue, Minehead, at 2.30pm.
The charity already supports people in the area with its Volunteer Visiting Service, Mobile Advice Service (MAS) which makes regular visits to several locations in West Somerset, and a well-established social group that meets at the Friends Meeting House on the second Monday of the month.
Heidi Linegar, from Somerset Sight said: “We want to offer something a bit different with this new group.
“It is for visually impaired people who want to meet people, make friends and try new activities. The group is aimed at working age people but all ages are welcome."
