A FIRE engine and police were called to an overturned car on the road towards Exford from Porlock Hill just before midnight on Monday this week - but no one was found in or near the vehicle.

The car, a Ford Mondeo, was found on its roof, partly in a hedge and blocking half the road.

The fire crew made the vehicle safe, police arranged for its recovery and were making further inquiries.
