A WEST Somerset man has died and another was badly injured in a motorcycling accident while riding with two other friends in Spain.

The man from Minehead, is believed to have been  killed instantly when a vehicle crashed into the group.

One member of the group suffered multiple injuries in the incident, which happened on Monday.

The two others were travelling just behind the leading pair at the time.

The four riders, who have been named locally, were all experienced motorcyclists on a holiday travelling through Spain to Morocco.

A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said: “We are providing consular assistance following the death of one British man and injury of another in Spain.”

The Free Press is not naming those involved until  the information is confirmed from official sources.
