A shop at Hendford, Yeovil, suffered vandalism and theft on the first day of the year.

The incident happened at 9.30pm as a window was smashed and a remote-controlled model car was taken from the display.

Two male suspects were seen in the area. Both were described as slim and white, wearing hooded tops and sport-style trousers.
