THE first anniversary of the Minehead-based Tallulah Jayne School of Dance was celebrated in style with a regional competition success for three of its young dancers.
Three dancers from the dance school took part in a recent Reaction competition, held in Bristol, and came away with a handful of awards between them.
Lola-Rae Jeff, aged 13, Ethan Williams, aged 14, and 15-year-old Olivia Cole each achieved a performance placing in their respective categories.
A standout performer on the day was Ethan, who secured two first place wins.
Competing in the teen commercial/street solo category, Ethan impressed the judges to take the top spot, before also winning the improvisation challenge category.
Lola also enjoyed success, taking third place in the teen tap solo category with a strong performance.

The trio of Lola, Ethan, and Olivia then rounded off the competition by achieving third place in the teen street/commercial trio category.
A spokesperson for Tallulah Jayne School of Dance said they were incredibly proud of all three dancers and the hard work and dedication they continued to show.
They said: “The achievements mark a memorable milestone for the dance school as it celebrates its first year supporting and developing young dancers in the Minehead area.
“Tallulah Jayne School of Dance offers a welcoming and supportive environment for children and young people looking to build confidence, develop performance skills, and enjoy dance in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.
“New dancers are always welcome across a range of classes and abilities.”
The dance school, which was founded by experienced dance teacher Tara Ely, takes dancers aged from three years to adults.
It held a first-ever showcase event before last Christmas in the Lysaght Village Hall, Old Cleeve.
