COUNCILLORS in Minehead have re-elected Cllr Craig Palmer as the town’s mayor for a third term.
Cllr Palmer, who will continue to chair the council’s monthly meetings, will be supported by Cllr Anne Lawton, who was re-elected for a third term as deputy mayor.
Cllr Palmer said: “It is a great honour to be selected by my fellow councillors to serve again as mayor.
“I hope the council can continue the progress we have made in recent years and build on the strong foundations we have laid together.”
Anybody wanting to invite the mayor to their community event should email the council at [email protected] or call 01643 707213.
A parish mayor is different to mayoral positions which hold a range of powers in areas such as London.
