PEOPLE in West Somerset and Taunton Deane have just a few days left to have their say about the proposal to create a new single council covering the two areas.
The public consultation closes on Tuesday.
Since the consultation began in December, residents, businesses and organisations have been able to find out more about the proposal via a dedicated website, www.yournewcouncil.org, and provide online feedback.
A series of public roadshows was held, and meetings with town and parish councils took place to gather opinions.

The decision on whether a new council is created rests with the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Sajid Javid.
Leader of West Somerset Council, Cllr Anthony Trollope-Bellew, said: “It’s really important that we seek your views before we submit our proposal for a new, single district council to Government. Please get involved, give us your opinions.”
Although time is short, people can still have a say by visiting www.yournewcouncil.org for details of the proposal and completing the online questionnaire on the site.
Paper questionnaires are available at the councils’ offices for those who prefer to submit a handwritten response.
