I attended with over 50 other people the West Somerset Council planning meeting when the plans for the Liddymore Farm development came up for discussion.
What a big stitch up that turned out to be.
After two hours of us giving our objections, committee chairman Cllr Steven Pugsley called for a vote - out of 15 members of the committee, only ten had bother to turn up for this major decision and eight voted for the plans to be passed.
To me this meeting was a complete waste of time.

A photo of Liddymore Road with two cars was shown by the planners.
And not one of the councillors at the meeting mentioned the safety of our children at the entrance to the site.
Money is going to change hands to paint the school classrooms and to make a path onto one of the most dangerous roads, the one that leads to St Peter’s School,no pavements no lights.(a few pounds on each house built).
Yes we need homes but why build them in the middle of nowhere, with all the controversy it brings?
