SIR — All at Minehead Lifeboat Station are very grateful for the generosity and support of many people over the bank holiday weekend. Firstly, generous shoppers at Tesco who donated £791.70 in a couple of days, then those who braved the distinctly unseasonal weather for the hog roast and jazz at the boathouse. Lifeboatmen (and women) are used to getting wet, but what turned out to be a great evening was attended by many more people than we could have reasonably expected.
