SHOPPERS and others in Minehead will have a chance on Friday (May 19) to show their support for people being tortured or wrongfully imprisoned.
Amnesty International Minehead is holding a letter-writing session in the annexe of St Andrew’s Church, Wellington Square, between 2pm and 4pm.
All are welcome to stay as long as they like – pens, paper and advice will be provided as well as a cup of tea.
Writing letters has always been the core work of Amnesty International, and words can bring about change. People wrongfully imprisoned have been released, torturers brought to justice, and prisoners treated more humanely.
