SIR — With regard to the so-called obsessive noise from strimmers in the Woodcombe area, Your Letters October 1, there can be no objection to a certain person who uses his so-called noisy strimmer to keep our lovely area clean and tidy, cutting down overgrown grass and weeds and bushes which overhang the stream, which he also keeps clear of rubble.
Without this so-called noise, Woodcombe would not look as beautiful as it does.
The field which was mentioned is cut down only twice a year, so no complaints there.
I hope the noisy strimmer keeps up his good work.
Mrs M Archer,
Woodcombe,
