WATCHET Court Leet performed the ancient tradition of ale testing on Sunday (May 29).
Jurors Dudley Binding, wearing a tri corner hat, and Nick Tapp, in a bowler hat, accompanied by the Town Crier Dave Milton, entered the ’taverns of Watchet’.
They sampled the ale before presenting each establishment with a certificate declaring the ale to be of good quality.
The event, organised by Watchet Live, is held each year on the same day as the wheelbarrow race – which involves teams of two racing round the towns pubs.
