A?BLUE day in Watchet ended in smiles when when supporters of the charity Elliot’s Touch posed for the ‘Big Blue Photo’ in the town’s Bell Inn – and raised £620 in just a few hours.
Organised by local driving instructor Steve Page, the photo-call was part of the charity’s ‘Wear it Blue Day’ on March 3 in memory of toddler Elliot Stevens, who died three years ago.
“It was a hard day for us, but we actually managed a smile,” said Elliot’s mother, Donna.
“It really was such a lovely atmosphere and seeing everyone coming together for Elliot’s Touch was just so heart-warming.”

“We wanted to show we are right behind the charity,” Steve said. “Donna and Paul are inspiring people. They have been through so much and are doing so much.”
Donna said she wanted to thank Peter Mather, who took the photograph, musicians Jaysonjohn Acoustic and Tony Reed, Caron, who made 50 cakes, and Libby Taplin who iced and decorated special biscuits.
“The support we get is phenomenal,” Donna said.
