A MAN who died when his car crashed into a church wall on Exmoor last month has been named as Paul Radford, aged 67.
Mr Radford was driving a plum colour Skoda Fabia on the B3190 near Raleigh Cross when the car left the road and hit a wall outside Brendon Hill Methodist Church on January 28.
An inquest into Mr Radford’s death was opened today in Taunton, when Somerset coroner Samantha Marsh heard evidence of identification and adjourned the proceedings to a date to be agreed.
An appeal for witnesses to the fatal crash, which happened at about 11.45 am, has been made by police investigating the circumstances.

Public Notices: Emergency closure of footbridge Police said no other vehicle was involved in the incident at the junction of the B3190 and the B3224.
Despite efforts to save Mr Radford's life by off-duty medics who stopped when they came across at the crash, he was declared dead at the scene.
