A SERGEANT who "hated" working in the "bullying" atmosphere of Minehead police station hanged himself shortly before he would have been moved under the wing of his former boss.

And he believed he was being followed and spied on by other officers, having seen them while walking on Exmoor and at Bristol airport.
But consultant psychiatrist Dr Christopher Mortimore told a resumed inquest in Taunton last Thursday that Mr Mayberry suffered from paranoid psychosis.
