Not many people know this, but it is statistically more likely to snow at Easter than it is at Christmas.
And with this dreadful notion in mind, I am increasingly concerned that more workforce hours will be lost, and social productivity stinted, by the number of schools forced to close should we experience future visits from a beast from the east.
On a personal level, my job is also very important to me. Without it to go to I find myself wandering through cold streets, tangled like old string. I miss it.
As so I am wondering whether there are any measures which could, or should, be put in place to ensure that schools can remain open should we be faced with another sprinkling of the white stuff.

Or perhaps suggest that teachers sleep over in school buildings (they are are spacious so could surely accommodate adequate staff) on evenings that weather warnings have been issued?
There may be other solutions which I have not considered – but let’s get something planned for all our sakes!
