MINEHEAD Museum has unveiled its latest exhibit - a timeline of the history of the town's old hospital building in The Avenue. It was researched and put together by members of Minehead and District U3A in conjunction with Minehead Development Trust. The display shows the many changes the iconic building has undergone since its construction as a public hall in the late 1880s. Photographs illustrate some of its alterations, alongside scenes of hospital life. The timeline project began just over a year ago and is still ongoing, with gaps being filled in as new facts come to light. Volunteers are also carrying out interviews with people who have had connections with the building over the years and anyone who would like to contribute their memories can contact Di Martin on 01643 703902. Members of the U3A team are pictured with the timeline - clockwise from top right, Jan Lowy, Di Martin, Jenny Lennon-Wood, Alison Andrew, Lesley Barclay and Chris Wood.
