AN honesty stall run by Watchet Mothers’ Club has raised £500 each for Knights Templar School and Little Vikings Nursery.

The stall is outside club secretary Anne Reeder’s home near Knights Templar and is supported not just by members but by the whole community who donate items to sell and then buy.

The cheque for Knights Templar was presented to head teacher David Frowde and head boy and head girl, Sam Landon and Jayda Swaby-Halls, and the money for Little Vikings was handed to nursery manager Rachel Baker.

Last year’s donation to the school was used to buy nautical themed soft furnishings for the library and this year the school is appealing for donations to update the books on offer in the library.

While last year the nursery bought a wooden play house to help to develop confidence and language skills, this year it os planning to purchase balance bikes, helmets and road signage as well as construction equipment.
