WEST Somerset chainsaw artist Matthew Crabb carved another notch in his successful career when he pitted his skills against the best in the world.
Matthew came second in this year’s English Open Chainsaw Carving Championships, which took place in Cheshire.
He secured runner up position in the prestigious competition with his Dragon and Eggs sculpture (pictured), beating 2013 and 2014 winner Mikaru Kodama from Japan into third place.
But he was pipped at the post for first place by Simon O’Rourke from Wales.
