THE Green Goddesses coped well locally during the recent 48-hour fire brigade strike.

A Green Goddess was called out after a reported car fire on the A3088 around 5am last Thursday.

And a second call came about an hour later when a Green Goddess dealt with a car stuck in water at Mudford.

It was back to Mudford later that morning when another car was reported to be stuck in water.

And at 3.35pm the following day, a Green Goddess and a breathing apparatus rescue team attended a minor incident in Birch Street, in Martock.
