SIR — I am grateful to the Free Press for publicising the Real Theatre's Archive Project a couple of weeks back.

We had a number of people attend the drop-in day to share memories and to loan or donate memorabilia.

It was a very pleasurable event and for me the highlight was a gift of a poster from 1938 advertising the Minehead Busmen's Ball held in the Regal Ballroom.

My intention is to create an artwork for the Regal sourced from such donated posters, photographs, programmes, and artifacts.

We are holding a second drop-in day on Tuesday May 11, again from 10am to 3pm, and following that a meeting with a presentation of the collected material and an opportunity for discussion on Wednesday June 2 at 7pm, both to be held in the Regal bar.

We look forward to seeing as many people as are able to attend on either or both occasions.

Andy Davey,

North Hill Road,

Minehead.
