FIRE crews rescued two goldfish from a blaze in a first floor bedroom in Orchard Road, Minehead, last night after three people suffering from minor burns and smoke inhalation had been led to safety.

Crews with breathing apparatus used an attack jet and a safety jet to extinguish the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The occupants were checked over by paramedics but were not seriously hurt.
