WEST Somerset residents who were born on the Queen's Accession Day - February 6 1952 - have just two weeks to apply for an invitation to attend a commemorative Golden Jubilee garden party.
The event will be hosted by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and will take place in London on July 9.
Applications for invitations should be made in writing to the Lord Lieutenant's office, care of Diane Stanton at Somerset County Council, in Taunton.
Applications must be received by January 25 and be accompanied by a copy of the individual's birth certificate.
Eligibility will be limited to those who were born on February 6 1952, who are British and current live in the United Kingdom.
Each guest will be allowed to take along one companion, although children under the age of 18 will not be allowed to attend.
