SIR — I would like to correct an inaccuracy which appeared in Loretta Whetlor's letter in last week's Free Press.
Whilst Caturn's Night was a large group effort and Bob Hornby did wonderful work on The Esplanade, the lights and trees around town were done by myself along with a very hard-working crew from Watchet Chamber of Trade.
We gave up in excess of 60 hours to dress the trees and erect them in time for Caturn's Night.
We also provide the large trees for the museum and Methodist church, whilst the carnival club erects them for us.
This year saw a record 63 trees provided, and next year we expect to grow that even more with the requests we have had.
