A LEVEL students from West Somerset Community College in Minehead had a hair-raising experience in more ways than one last Friday when they set about raising money for charity. As part of the enterprise section of their business studies A Level course, the students decided to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK. Curtis Hodgson opted to have his head shaved by Sandra Worrall, who heads up the college's hair and beauty course, while Chris Yeates, Micky Burns, Emma Pugsley and Lucy Luxton sat in a bath of baked beans, tinned tomatoes, rice pudding, tinned peaches and mushy peas. Having set themselves a target of £750, their efforts brought in more than £900 for the charity. Photos: Steve Guscott.
