THERE is nothing quite like a traditional English breakfast on a Sunday morning - especially when the washing-up is done by someone else!
In fact, so tempting was the offer of a top quality local fry-up without having to clean up afterwards that 114 people turned up at the Moorland Hall in Wheddon Cross for the annual Big Breakfast fundraiser on Sunday morning.
As well as local bacon and sausages from Clive Downs Butchers in Porlock, there was muesli from Dunster Watermill, jams from Brendon Hill Crafts and the apple juice from Torre Cider.
All other items are purchased from Budgens in Wheddon Cross.
The event has been running for 11 years and raises money for the moorland hall.
Organiser Sally Parish said: "We had lots of compliments from our customers and many of them promised to come back next week, too."
Breakfasts will be available from 8am to midday this Sunday, October 12, and cost £6.50 for adults and £4 for children.
There is no need to book and a vegetarian option will also be available.
More information is available from Sally on 01643 841891.
