Minehead Tennis Club in conjunction with the Lawn Tennis Association is offering a free six-week coaching course for any child aged between five and eight who has not played the game before.

This is a national initiative known as Tennis for Kids.

There is room for 30 children spread over three weekly sessions, two on a Monday after school and one on a Saturday morning.

The courses are organised and run by fully qualified LTA coaches and each child will receive a free racket at the end of the six-week course provided they attend at least four of the six sessions.

To get involved with Tennis for Kids, parents can simply sign their children up at their nearest venue at www.lta.org.uk/tennisforkids

The coaching sessions start on Monday May 8 and the children need to be registered on line as soon as possible because of the limited spaces available.
