A BLEND of fine tunes, songs and humour will feature in a concert by popular folk band Moonrakers at the Regal in Minehead on Saturday (December 11). 

Moonrakers are an Oxford-based group of four musicians who pride themselves on having brought traditional and contemporary folk music to new audiences across the country.  The band will play unique arrangements of traditional UK folk songs and tunes as well as their own compositions. 

Moonrakers founder Jon Bennett said: “Musicians have had a tough time over the last 18 months with so many events being cancelled. Fortunately, our core fan base has stayed with us online as we post regular videos of new tunes.  

“But nothing compares to playing to a live audience.”

All tickets cost £15 and may be booked in advance online and at the Regal box office on 01643 706430 between 9.30am and 12pm or by phone only from 1.30pm to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.

The concert begins at 7.30pm and the bar will be open from 7pm. Some Covid restrictions remain in place – there will be one empty seat either side of individually booked seats or blocks of seats. Everyone will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided and wear a face mask.
