A FREE first aid course for parents or carers of young children in West Somerset is being organised by the charity Home-Start.
The three-hour training event will cover many aspects, from what to do in an emergency, to burns and scalds, choking, and meningitis awareness.
Each participant will receive a paediatric first aid book, a certificate of attendance, and a CPR (artificial respiration) face shield to take away with them.
The courses will be held from 9.30am to 12.30pm, including refreshments, and will be at: Dulverton Junior School on Thursday March 7; Williton Memorial Hall, Wednesday March 13; Minehead Eye, Thursday March 14; Tithe Barn, Dunster, Wednesday March 20; and Stogursey School, Thursday March 21.
Places are limited and people should book with the Home-Start office, on 01643 707304.
There is also an opportunity for parents or carers of any aged child to attend free sensory and sleep training, delivered by BIBIC. It will be held on Thursday May 2 from 9.30am to 2.30pm at Minehead Eye. Contact Home-Start to book.
