FIRE crews from four towns were mobilised when a hay barn caught alight on Exmoor on Wednesday (September 20).
The blaze broke out on a farm in Brompton Regis, near Wimbleball Lake, and took several hours to put out.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident shortly before 3.30 pm.
Firefighters from Tiverton were the first to be despatched, followed by pumps from Dulverton, Minehead, and Wiveliscombe.
They found there was a fire in a hay barn constructed of stone and wood and used two 45 mm jets, two hose reel jets, one ground monitor, and a light portable pump to put out the flames.
A telehandler was then used to the remove the remaining hay from the barn.
