MINEHEAD EYE may be best known for hosting skate parties and live music events, but the venue also caters for the young at heart, regularly hosting events for more senior West Somerset residents.

Art classes, computer courses and regular senior citizens' lunches are just some of the events on offer to local pensioners.

And on Wednesday, more than 20 seniors sat down to enjoy a special Christmas lunch, complete with entertainment courtesy of the band and carol singers from Minehead Middle School.

The group has lunch at the youth centre each week - although not quite the full turkey and trimmings treatment they received on Wednesday!
