A SPECIAL bake-off and Fathers Day event last weekend raised a record £725 for the charity Elliot’s Touch.
The event, held at the Phoenix Centre in Watchet, saw nearly 200 adults and children enjoying a Fathers Day cream tea or coffees and cakes – plus a host of entries for the bake-off.
It took place exactly two years since the charity’s first fundraising event in aid of Elliot Stevens, who died just after his first birthday.
It was organised by his parents Donna and Paul Stevens and the charity has already raised £72,000 to help fund research and raise awareness for Cardiomyopathy and Mitochondria Disease.
