WILLET Farm is offering an alternative to watching the Wimbledon finals this weekend by opening its garden in Lydeard St Lawrence for the NGS.

The traditional Victorian-style farmhouse garden has a small vegetable garden, mixed borders, garden rooms, greenhouse and a small woodland.

It is about three-quarters of an acre, on two levels, all overlooking West Somerset countryside. Visitors may also walk round a large hay meadow that has been matured over years with conservation in mind.

Willet Farm garden is open from 11am to 5pm both days (July 13 and 14). Some areas are accessible for wheelchairs but the surfaces can make pushing hard work. Self service tea and coffee. No dogs. Admission £3.
