A WASHFORD family has paid a colourful tribute to their late husband and father by continuing his favourite tradition and raising money for charity in his memory.
Mike Jones was well known locally for festooning his home in Carhampton with Christmas lights but sadly died last year after battling dementia.
His daughter Zoë and wife Carol decided to honour his memory by continuing the tradition and officially turned on their Christmas lights on December 5 - the first anniversary of Mike's death.
The colourful festive display at their home in 7 Verdun Terrace in Washford is also raising money for the Alzheimer's Society.
"Dad passed away last year so we thought it would be good to do it in his memory and for the Alzheimer's Society.
"We've got all sorts of decorations and lights and we did the switch-on a year to the day after he died," Zoë said.
The family has a charity collecting box at their home, but donations can also be made via Zoë's Facebook page or through the website http://www.justgiving.com/carol-jones16">www.justgiving.com/carol-jones16.
