YOUNG people in the Exmoor area are being invited to attend a meeting next week to discuss how they might build their own homes.
Exmoor Young Voices has arranged a number of speakers to talk through the issues people face when trying to self-build.
The meeting will be held in the Rest and Be Thankful Inn, Wheddon Cross, on Friday, November 10, at 7.30 pm.
The guests include Justin Tyers, a successful Exmoor straw house builder and author of ‘How to Self Build Your Dream Home for £99,000 or Less!’, Josh Smith and Megan Hunt, from Exmoor Young Voices self-build pilot project, and Exmoor National Park Authority head of planning Dean Kinsella, who will answer planning questions.
Ms Hunt said: “We would love to get as many young people there as possible, as well as any land owners, residents, and people of influence interested in supporting self-builds for young people on the moor.”
Anybody with questions ahead of the meeting can email [email protected].
