THE Countryside Alliance organised a Miss Exmoor beauty competition at the Carnarvon Arms, Brushford and over £300 was raised.
The all male judging panel agreed that of the 11 "serious" entrants Caroline Norman, aged 20, from Higher Eastcott Farm, Withiel Florey, should be crowned the winner.
The four judges were auctioneer John Addicott, joint master of Devon and Somerset Staghounds Maurice Scott, Tim Yandle, whose father is chairman of Quantock Staghounds, and farmer Geoff White.
Organiser Christopher Chanter said the evening was a "magnificent success" and the money was raised through voluntary donations.
Caroline is pictured with Tilly Upton, who came third, on the left and on the right runner-up Sarah Woolacott.
