THE Exford Dog Show on August Bank Holiday Sunday at Melcombe once again attracted a bumper crowd.

The addition of the Countryman’s Weekly qualifier for its Champion of Champions Show added to the show’s appeal, with 119 lurcher and terrier entries in the qualifying rounds, while in the novelty classes, judge Suzy Reilly had the task of selecting from 100 entrants.

Child handler classes were up in number too, and both judges’ final decision went to Henry Parsons from Dorset with his greyhound. Runner-up was holidaymaker Mia Bouctot from the Black Forest in Germany.
