THREE dozen 'old boys' of a school that was evacuated to Minehead during the war returned to the town for a reunion.
The Regent Street Polytechnic School, in London, relocated to Minehead in 1939 with 400 boys - some of whom now live in Minehead.
Although the school no longer exists, its friendships do and people came from Canada and the USA as well as from all over England to meet up again.
Among the highlights was the dedication by vicar of Minehead the Rev Geoffrey Wrayford of a stone at the War Memorial in honour of the school's old boys who were evacuated to Minehead and later lost their lives serving their country.
