FOUR gardens in a village on the edge of Exmoor will open to the public next month to raise funds for the parish church tower project.

The West Anstey open gardens event, near Dulverton, will take place from 12noon until 5pm on Sunday, June 8.

Visitors will be supporting St Petrock’s Church, which dates to the 14th and 15th centuries and was restored in 1879.

Church House will open for the first time, joining The Shippon, where Pimm’s and Prosecco will be available, the Old Vicarage with its lakes and vistas, and Higher Wychwood, where cream teas can be enjoyed and dogs will be welcomed.

Tickets cost £5 for all four gardens and more information can be obtained by calling 07790 833078.
